Converting VOB's???

Post by jhunterpro » Mon Apr 18, 2005 2:03 pm

I have read Vicbond007's guide to DVD footage, and it was clear until it got to the avisynth part. Without a graphics interface, I'm lost! I then looked elsewhere for software to convert my VOB files to a format that I can use in an editing software. When I used that software, I came up with footage that has a bunch of black lines in it. I think that is called interlaced video??? I'm new to software so please forgive my ignorance. How do I get good quality footage that I can edit, from a VOB?

I can be in error, so I'm not sure but I think you can use a program (Downloable within the AmvApp) called DVDDecrypter.

That's how I got the VOB files onto my hard drive. Now I need to convert them into something that my editing software can read, like an avi, mpeg, ect., but doing it with out losing any quality. Thank you though. :D
