Looking for an old AMV

Hi y'all, I've been looking for an old video reeeeeally long now, and decided to surf the internet untill I find it (which has been for days now, even though my exams are coming up )

It is a video of a redhaired captain of a spaceship, which then lands on this planet, meets strange creatures, and he also gets knocked down by an old grey Heihatschu kind of guy. It is a lot like Daft Punk's video's of Interstella 5555, but I believe the style is not as perfectly finished as Daft Punk's, it has a bit "rougher" feel. The song itself is a dance song, no vocals, with electronics/synthesizers. A low, little bit distorted "alarm" is really catchy and noticed immediately if you hear the song, and it has some bells interludes.
In Europe, the song was a small hit somewhere between 1996 and 2000 (not sure when though), and could be seen on MTV and TMF (the Dutch MTV) every so-often, but not that much.

I REALLY hope you can help me out, I'm terribly sorry if I waste your time or if I'm not posting in the correct area, but I had no idea where to post (also, two days without sleep and constant internet are kinda wearing me out).

Do you know where the footage was taken from, at least? The anime/game, I mean?

No, I dont know. But it was an original music video, made for the artist, not by someone itself, it was its official clip. Any idea?

Hmmm... Well, aside from the redhaired captain, do you remember anyone else from the vid? If you could maybe describe some of the other characters, I might be able to tell you the anime, at least.

By "official clip" do you mean it wasn't made from an anime? If so, it wouldn't be here... or at least it SHOULDNT be here.
