Compressing in VDubMod

Post by §Daisuke » Sun Apr 10, 2005 3:47 pm

Okay this might be the stupidest thing you've every heard but I can't seem to compress in VDubMod mod.

I've selected the right Codec and everything but it still my amv doesn't compress. Can it only be compressed if it's AviSynth?

What does happen when you try?

Make sure you've selected the whole video (set In and Out points to cover the whole range).

I'm such an idiot i can compress now. Thank you! But what Codec should i use to compress? Does it depend on the amv or is 1 codec better to use than the rest?

XviD will generally get you the best quality, especially if you use AVISynth to do some smart filtering beforehand, and follow the guide.

Of course, if you want to be a rebel, you could always use x264
