lain avs suggestions

i have the SE Lain dvds from 98(great job pioneer it looks poor)

to anyone who has made a lain amv and achieved good quality, please post your avs, and if possible a screen comparison.

heheheheh. Lain is so messed up.

One of the problems you will find is that it is authored incorrectly and has invalid field order shifts. DGFix might be able to repair it, but it's a real nightmare if you want to make that thing progressive :)

Actually, one of my suitemates has the Lain DVDs, I think...maybe if I get bored sometime tonight, I'll play around with them.

Lain was one of the first anime that I worked with. I captured through a DV camcorder and edited with the interlaced footage. The video quality was more than good enough, even on the giant screen at Sakura-Con. But there were still a few scenes with strange field or interlacing problems. Never figured those out.
