Here is what i plan on doing :
get the room around the thursday or friday morning. Obviously i'll get to the hotel that wensday night 12pm as in going into thursday morning. the idea that i had in mind, is to use the room as either a nap place or somewhere where people can change, or, do things
in privatcy. frankly, i don't care. Myself and another friend of mine plan on getting a pretty big room by chipping in a good half and half deal. now, if there is anyone in the immediate area of alabama that can join, i have a favor to ask. my friend felicia who also wants to come(she has her own car mind you) can only make it, unless she has a person to ride with her into va. if anyone is interested in staying atleast for ama, i will personally wave the fee for the room.
since myself and a friend will be paying the most part, the only other need for money is in case there will be food ordered or otherwise. AMA is pretty small, so we may run into each other. or could get a really good deal as a group.
Now for the numbers game.
If need be, i can spend up to 400 for the nights that i want to spend at ama, starting that thrusday morning is when i will have the room, and ending sunday morning. so, no one would be able to shower or take a nap in the room. a triple or quad room goes for 99.00 per night. so, for 3 nights, one morning should be 300 dollars. if we have 8 or more we could split the money for the room by ten dollars a person. if i can get atleast 80 plus the 20 from my friend and i pay the rest (197) then we can all enjoy ama in a nice big room. keep in mind iam only mentioning the worse case scenario. If we get a special discount rate on the room, then, it should be less.
There are plenty of other friends that will be joining me in going to ama, some of which who ahve already made plans to getting a room with others. So, if there is absolutely no way to fit a 10th or more person into the room, then you could atleast bunk with someone else.
Iam planning on alot of things, and i will start my savings for AMA in early april. being i work only part time at outback steakhouse i get paid my tips in cash and my checks go to direct deposit. so, i'll always have money.
So, anyone that is interested please reply before the begining of april. obviously i'll have alot of planning to do, and i will be keeping a small amount of money saved for private spending at ama. if we can get 8 or more then i will request that we put in money to get a group rate.
depending on everyones situation in the end, will organize how much money will be needed or donated.
