Best Multi Editor Project VCA to be held
For those who don't know, there is going to be an added category in the finals for the VCA which will be for Multi Editor Projects. As there is sometimes no standard database entry for these it is being run seperately.
As such, I need people to submit their MEPs for entry. I will add all the ones I know that fit the criteria but I'd prefer people to also email and tell me possible MEPs that qualify so that I don't miss something.
Now, definition of a Multi-Editor Project is actually tricky.
Things that do qualify as MEPS for this contest:
- Projects which prescribe videos to be made by many (more than 2) editors with the intention of being shown in one sitting, all matching a particular theme or concept.
- Projects which divide a song or mix of songs or a collection of songs between many (more than 2) editors for a unified goal.
Things that do not qualify as MEPS for this contest:
- "Projects" that simply collect together videos that were made without the concept of the project in mind.
- Projects that have never premiered in their completed state (either online or at a convention) with all sections intact.
Things that do not qualify for this contest in a more general way:
- Projects which were not premiered in their full completed state in the year 2004
- Projects which were never premiered as a single edited work. (A premiere can be at a convention or online).
- Projects that if hosted in their entirety on a-m-v.org would break the current upload rules that also govern VCA entries (such as all non-anime, containing unknown songs, containing pornographic or excessively violent content etc)
I hope that makes things clear. It's a difficult thing to categorise.
How to Enter
To enter, send an email to me (see the email link below) containing:
- Name of the Project
- Brief Description of the Project
- Project Premiere Date (and Location if at a con)
- Project Coordinator(s)
- List of Editors
- List of individual tracks and/or segments
- A link to a place on the web which gives evidence for this project's existence and premiere.
You have until the 18th of Feburary to submit an entry. Entries do not have to be made by the project coordinator but must contain enough information about the project as evidence for its eligibility.

It deserves it's own special nomination of Best Project That Was Never Completed.
And Instrumentality should have Best Project That Has Been Completed For A While But Is Running Into Trouble With Compression And Release Issues.
