Hi there. This stuff annoyed me, too, and I thought it would take forever but it actually doesn't. Just use Virtual Dub and disable the audio stream and resave the clip through Direct Stream Copy. Takes less than a minute.

Why don't you just disable all of your audio tracks except the one your song is on instead?

That doesn't stop it from conforming the audio.

What exactly is conforming the audio? Like converting it to wav so it can edit it? Is it something new in Premiere Pro?

It converts the audio to a common format. This helps "reduce" work time.. apparently. But these files reach up to 400mb in size. for EACH episode!!!

This works in theory but it sucks in actuality. (is that a word lol)

I was thinking of goin back to 6.5 but it doesnt have the same features. Pro just has a lot of new stuff that makes everything a LOT easier.

Eg. Normal transparency rather than just screening the image. Man.. that sucked.

I've started removing audio from each episode... its gonna take a while. Damn premiere.

It wouldn't take that long to write up AVISynth scripts for each one that included a command to kill the audio, would it? That would save you space.
