AWA 8 Winners

Post by TnAdct1 » Sun Sep 29, 2002 1:13 am

So, does anyone know the winners of the AMV contests at AWA 8 (Expo, Pro, Masters, and Dance Contest)? I'm pretty sure the winners have been announced now, and I myself and anxious to know who won.

Nobody's back from AWA yet..

Explains why this place has been so quiet.

Hmm...I must be not recieving all the e-mails from the list. Anyway, as for the results, I agree with them for the most part. I think everyone of those videos deserved their respective award save for one. The only one on teh list I dont like is Engel to Trigun video, I didn't think it was very good personally but oh well. At least I agree with everything else.

Correction, the Trigun/Engel video was edited by Nathan Bezner. I was co-editor. Oh, and paizuri and Buddy Lee helped us accept the award. Maybe Triumph was there too, can't remember. Too tired. Just got back. Sleep now.

I don't remember the creators, as I was simply paying attention to the videos aired that night (they showed half of them at the second expo showing kind of without notice), but here are the concepts I can remember off of the top of my head.

Best Trailer: Spiderman trailer with footage of Love Hina and Eva
Award title I forget name of: Scatman with DBZ Footage
Artistic Endeavor: I forget the song, but it had Hellsing and actually included scenes from the Manga (kickass editing, by the way).
Action: Evangelion, The Lady's Got Potential

Bleh, sorry if I'm incorrect on any of them and that I can't remember the rest...

In other news, am I the only one who will never view Totoro the same way again?
