Uploading "non-anime" video
I'm trying to upload a video for Wonderful Days. Since this is not considered an anime this is the only reason I can think of for it not appearing in the list of videos I can upload. I've entered music and all the needed details. Is it true I won't be able to upload the video for this one? WD is not completely CG, it's a commbination of anime, CG and models AFAIK.

This isn't the first time Wonderful Days has been asked about, but the reply is always the same.
It is not "anime"... it is a korean animation. We consider animation produced by the Japanese animation (and computer games) industry to be "anime" and deny any others. The reasoning being that if we also accept korean animation (like Wonderful Days, My Beautiful Marie etc) then we could just as easily accept french animation like Triplets of Bellville and then american animation like Samurai Jack and so on.
We have to draw a line somewhere and that line is drawn around Japan. Sorry.

REALLY not trying to re-open pandoras box, since I imagine this has been discussed elsewhere, but just wanted to point out two problems.
`original animation'
`original 3d animation'
Videos are cropping up (like the video that was completely hand animated) on local, when clearly these are NOT Japanese made. With after-effects, more and more is the source footage created, sometimes completely (some scenes in William's Silence), these also break the rules. This is becoming more and more the `predominant' factor in the video, instead of anime footage.
Furthermore, even if the studio is in Japan, a lot of animation is now being outsourced to Korea.
Then you have things like "La Cite D'Or", is it Rrench? is it Japanese ?
While to some extent I see the point AD made, as we currently accept Japan made game videos as well (FF for example), that's just a leap throw from simply taking on the hoards of gaming (counter-strike, quake) videos that are set to music. This would certainly not be ideal, so I see why the a line has to be there, it's really too bad though, there's really nothing different about music videos made from animated shows from NA, Korea, Germany, etc.

These aren't problems at all.
1) Original Animation and Original 3D Animation are fine simply because members shouldnt be restricted just because they did something original (such as make 3d models of some anime characters and make their own video with them). Of course some would argue that some of the videos don't have an anime influence at all... but really we'll give members the benefit of the doubt unless there's obvious abuse of the local servers.
2) Mysterious Cities of Gold is in almost equal parts french and japanese produced. It is a grey area. When there are grey areas we make a case-by-case judgement on its validity. Cities of Gold got the thumbs up due to its japanese animation staff.
