Avisynth Help

Post by Shivan003 » Thu Oct 21, 2004 9:04 am

Hi, I'm at my school (I bring in my external hdd). Well, my teacher recently defragmented this computer, as well as moving files to a new slave drive and probably some other stuff I'm not aware of. Anyway, since then I have not been able to get this computer to read my AVS files. I get the error, "Script error: there is no function named "Mpeg2Source"" I'm at a loss as to what to do. I've tried reinstalling Avisynth, AMVApp, and even Gordian Knot. Any suggestions are apperciated.

It sounds like avisynth isnt finding an mpeg2 decoder plugin.
Try loaing the plugins manually in your script, like this:

LoadPlugin("C:\randomlocation\mpeg2dec.dll")

Yea, I tried that, but I get the error, "mpeg2dec.dll is not an Avisynth 2.5 plugin." ;\

You are using the wrong version of the plugin then.

Download the new amvapp.
