Jerky video using a Hybrid dvd...

Post by ChronoWraith » Mon Oct 04, 2004 7:18 pm

I have just finished a new vidoe only problem being that scenes which have only a slight amount of slowdown and are progressive appear jerky when i try to play them. A few of these scenes are actually at 100% speed with no change at all. I have run Smooth deinterlace over the source but it dind;t work. anything you guys can suggest?

What's your source material? Some other editors may have had the same problem with the same material and can help you fix it if they knew what you were using. I know I've used Hybrid DVDs...

well I doubt anyone on this site has these dvds. I was rather pissed when i found out that my friend had bought an HK copy of tenchi muyo. Anyway, it claims it is the "ultimate edition". These aren't my dvds and I would like it known i do not support pirating nor the stupid decisions of my friends. alright if anyone else was naive enough to buy this please tell me how they were able to fix this problem.

*****HK pirates suck***** Support the Import companies so that they keep sending them over***** don't follow my friend's example*****

Well, bootleg DVDs are usually crap to edit with, or so I'm told, They are usually encoded really weird. I would suggest you get the officals and edit with those...

mmm... i would if i could, i was told they were the real ones then he gave them to me and i pointed out that they were not real... if i had the money i would go get them if anyone wants to help by maybe giving me the .vob files through several days/nights of AIM file transfers i would greatly appreciate it. I really want to release a decent video, not one ruined by the crappy source.
