OGM vs MKV - subtitles

Post by CHAMELEON_D_H » Sat Sep 04, 2004 3:52 am

i want to add to an AMV im working on 2 sets of non external ( such as *.sub, *.srt ect) subtitles and i wanted to know what should i use as container......

also consider that i want one of the subs to be in english and the other in hebrew so ill need the container to be compitable w/ hebrew characters and right to left writings.......

is it even possible?

any comments or suggestions will be welcomed....

It really doesn't matter as long the appropriate players can parse Hebrew text in the subtitle track. Although, If you use OGM, then you'll be limited with Ogg Audio while MKV can use different kinds of audio, like AVI and QuickTime.

Hope that helps.
Yeah ... I use a Mac ... it works and I like it.

i have both an ogg and a mp3 vesions of the song, thats not my problem, lets say i play my file in a comp w/o hebrew fonts, will it still work? will it work w/ a poorly hebrew compitable winXP, considering i ahve fonts and all, but sometimes hebrew gets gibrished, as in winamp filenames?

Please don't suggest such things. You'll give the Makostra dev who wanders around here sometimes some sort of breakdown at the very suggestion.
