Post by Maver » Mon Aug 09, 2004 3:29 pm

yeah i figured out its impossable to get that old picture look out of video delux by messing with colors alone, but i can do an overlay so i was wondering if any of you could be kind enuff and know wat i'm talking about to throw me a pic of a tanish looking overlay so that my old photos look well old.

(mind you overlay is acepted in picuter formats such as bmp or jpg)

thanks!

I'm pretty sure that either someone wrote a filter for it, or there IS one in virtualdub.

Messing with the colours should give you it. Simple make it black and white, and add a tan tint.

video deluxe... do you mean MAGIX?

in the magix video deleuxe 2.0 *the one i have* they have an effect that you can do old film effects in... if you really want the effect, i would recommend searching for it wherever you can, i dont knjow of anywhere specific you can find it... if you need the effect, you can mess with the color and add some noise, and that should work... if not, oh well, its not that great of an effect anyways, sorry i couldnt help much... all i can say is keep lookin.

well though you don't have it, Premiere's quicktime filters have an aged film/color tint filter. While it's aged film functions suck, it's color tinting is nice, especially the Sepia (that tan color your after), much nicer than the separate Aged Film plugin I have.
