white bar appears when capturing playstation footage

Everytime I try to capture Playstation footage, a white bar appears on the the capturing screen. It appears right when the game boots up. I've tried on PS2's and PS1's. My capturing is fine for TV, XBOX games, PS2 games, Gamecube games, VHS, etc. but only does that on playstation 1 games. It doesn't matter what capturing program I use, it still does it. I was wondering if this has happened to anybody else, or if someone knows why this happens. ps. It's an nvidia, GeForce 4 MX 440 with AGP8X @ 64 MB.
