Animes that goes with DH

Post by crashman.2 » Wed Jul 21, 2004 2:04 pm

I was thinking of doing a amv after I release my next video, the song I want to use is called I Play Dead by Demon Hunter. I was going to use Trigun but I didn't think it would go with it very well. So hear the song or read the lyrics and tell me any suggestions of what anime can be use, thanxs.

I think Trigun would work well with this song, I Play Dead. In the begining you can show clips of Vash being conflicted. Bring in the scenes when he is with Rem, as an adult. Show when Vash is in bed after being hurt, happens a few times. There are alot of posibilities here. When the song turns "angry" you can go into action and fast clips. Just alot action here. When he starts to actually sing again show slow motion or mass carnage and desperare on Vash's face. Episode Diablo comes to mind for this part of the song. And that is basically the whole song. There are 3 parts:
1) when it is slower like the begining part
2) when he is yelling into the mic all angry like
3) when he singing and holding the notes for a long time

Just be consistent with what you do in each part. In the parts that are like 2 I would bring in action and scenes of hatred.

In parts like 1 I would try to match the lyrics with clips where possible as it is very possible, with lines like "right here with me" the scene with Vash in the sky with Rem comes to mind.

In the parts like 3 you have the most room for experimentation and this will mostly likely make or break your AMV. You can show slow scenes or go with action. Personally I would mix them. The drum rolls in these parts offer the possibility for fast cuts and the end of the drum roll with the strong drum hit you can show somebody getting shot or something of the sort that is slowed down. So you have super fast and then it slows and then goes back to fast. Of course you will want to try a different combos as you go along as doing the same thing over and over might get old. You just have to experiment.

Well those are the thoughts that first came to my mind after listening to the song 1 time. I hope it helped. Email me if you want anymore suggestions or want me to explain what I am saying better.
