i know someone made a thread about this before, but i think it was just some dumb kind that did nothing but complain that it was too long and not funny.

anyway, just finished watching the last five eppisodes today. ive got a few thoughts on this anime, but one thing realy stands out. the only emotion i ever felt in the series was a small sence of disgust. i mean, the series takes itself so seriosly, yet the amount of murder that kirika and mirielle commit realy got to me, and it prevented me from feeling any sence of emotion towards them, no mater what the situation. and thier we're some intence situations which would have otherwise got to me. for example when kirika makes freinds with that artist, and then (well, if ya've seen the series, ya'l know what happened) yeah, and the numerous times when characters die, or you think that thier dead. i mean, it kinda ruined things how it was so emotional, yet you didnt like the main characters so you never realy cared. well, thats how i felt anyway.

and one thing that ive just gota say about noir. it has absolutely the worst intro in anything ever. i mean, it just plain sucked, and the music, by god that was terrible. oh and the intermition was realy irritating as well.

other than that however (and a few other things which got to me a bit) noir was a prety good anime, certianly worth the time to watch it, and the story is an intruiging one, once you get past the first quater or so of the series. the first eppisode itself is realy prety well doen, and yeah, its damn well worth it, esspecialy for anyone that enjoys dark, moody and adult stories

Noir is a pretty good series, and it does have an intriguing plot and storyline. My gripe with the series is the technicalities; how can there not be as much blood every time there's a kill? Is it because their kills are "clean"?

its just an non-gore(y) show. If you notice NOONE bleeds...EVER. Not even people that the random other guys kill...besides you cant make a gun somehow not make blood come out at all...and in the show there is...NONE. =/ except for when its a main character. :O but yeah its a good show.

The no blood is because of the timeslot at which it aired, I think. I agree, back when I watched noir a couple years ago, I never really felt much emotion for the characters. I suppose its mostly because they don't show much of it themselves.

ya know honestly having blood wouldnt have made any difference to the show anyway. actualy, considering the style of the show, and the amount of people that got killed, having blood would have just made things messy, and well, it wouldnt have realy looked right

Perhaps the use of Cante Per Me and Salva Nos were overused in the series, but by itself the soundtrack is awesome. (IMHO of course)

what i meant was the music for the intro. now honestly, the sound of a cat with a sore throat being painfully tortured would probaly sound beter than the intro music does. i mean seriosly, its just so crap that it hurts.

oh the other hand, the rest of the music in the series is actualy prety good

Anyway, whatever you feel, man. I felt tons of emotions watching Noir. And I LOVE the opening.
