FTP Linking Within a Browser

Post by Kurai Seraphim » Mon Jun 07, 2004 9:16 pm

Okay, I've been hosting my videos on an FTP server for years now without any real problems. I would set an ftp:// address, with the login:password@server/filename inside the A HREF tag format and anyone who clicked on the link would download it as normal. Now, I'm finding that my ftp doesn't work like that anymore. I can still pull the videos up if I use an FTP client, so I don't think its a server issue. I don't really want to lag down the donut when I'm capable of serving my limited downloading audience, so I'd like to get things back to normal if at all possible. Anyone know if more recent versions of Internet Explorer or if my new router (which has been set up completely with virtual servers, DMZ, et cetera and shouldn't have anything to do with it) might be the cause of this problem?

I'm downloading one of your vids right now, so it seems to be working.

I'm using Firefox though.
