Toonami/G Gundam Sucks

Dont get me wrong here, Toonami's great. It has got a lot of people hooked on anime and shown them cartoons are a work of art. BUT, it is showing the wrong crap and it should be called the DBZ channel because it picks only crap that has more general appeal. Time to wean the public off this DBZ, AOLWarner.

With the tags on the www, youd think this would actually have a plot. Its just about damn gundams fighting and the physics/input are not accurate. Where the heck is the political intrigue? I think everybody has gotten enuf of that from reality; they've heard about the piddly excuses for the 1/19 af-crappistan and iraq meddling and they dont want to hear chitchat in cartoons.

Now g-gundam is good if you like having lots of questions unanswered. Head nation in council is decided by a big mecha fight? Makes more sense than we do now but why not decide it based on some AI programming comptetition instead that makes sense too (sarcasm). Devil gundam? Gimme a break! And dont forget domon, the freelance consultant who is looking for some guy. In all the wrong places.

Domon Kasshu: Where the heck did you get that damned photo? Get some good image recognition software and run it through a coupla yearbooks or something, if you have that much info to be that close then ask around, look him up in the white pages and then jack an appointment friday at 9.

Someone was bored at decided to do a half-baked idea. I can possibly come up with an explanation for beamguns and how gundams ever came to be but this international nonsense in whacked.

Heh.

Mobile trace system? Its whacked off symbolism *and* whacked off technology. How do gundams walk? WHat happens if your bumped in the cockpit? A floating person would make more sense but ick ick and that feedback thing is nutsy. Its worse than eva.

Fia Filadel = Filadelfia ?!

Self-repair? D-G cells? What the heck? It has a scientific explanation and I can write a dissertation but hell yes, a gundam is a machine and so far we're not doing matter-energy conversion and generation here!

Seitai unit can explain how the gundam programming got messed up and got self-consiousness, got nanotech/biotech powers. But whatthe! YOu mean some gundam feedback system went haywire, fried some guy and now its controlled by insane brain cells/quantum neurons? It makes sense, this is one of the better parts of the plot. Lift the curse? purity of heart? Yeah right this is not like some fantasy rayearth, we want full fantasy or full realism not some big mecha that only works with mental concentration or other crap!

And also, about the Devil Gundam, a better explanation would be: doc kasshu decided to try Linux on the gundams and it went haywire. I mean, the gundam crashed and then screwed up right? Thats what happens with dropped laptops and Linux!

Wellf ortunately then even a total n00b could defeat the devil gundam, if running out of box linux. You see, linux runs such crud as Apache. Crash it of course! If they enabled services for fun on the devil gundam, just connect to the devil gundam and run Php that always f-s up the system!

Yeah. It's fun anime, to be enjoyed like the visualizations coming out of winamp, designer clothing, etc.

BUT DONT YOU DARE BINGE ON IT! Its not seriously designed anime, has no structure or progressive plot system. LIKE DBZ, it serves no purpose but to appeal to your inner tastes, styles, and likings.

I want something that is ingeniously concieved. One that's fantasy yet technically realistic. Symbolism that makes you think, characters that make you want to schedule interviews with them.
Maybe i can enjoy G-gundam after a nice hot cup of cowboy bebop...

Oh yeah, by the way, i didnt mean to insult any g-gundam fans. Its just not my taste, especially after bottling off of anime for months and then having to prep for a convention in 10 days; thats what happens if you havent seen it for a while. Oh well, got to *HIDE* those damn *SUBS* from my *PARENTS* now.

I respect your opion and even though G Gundam doesnt have the same story and suspence like Gundam Wing. Still its a nice anime to enjoy. Especially the weird gundams like Nobel Gundam. Have you seen that GUNDAM!!

Yeah, thanks for chatting! I picked up a coupla images on the way here, looks like some sorta Martha Stewart design or something. At least its not as bad as the VW-or-sony like design of that other one!

Freaky, not exactly my type. But I think I might check it out after the convention. After all, a lot of comedy series dont have plots! Although G GUndam is starting to sound like comedy thou.

Heh heh very funny. Im beginning to like it already a bit, i wonder what a parody of G Gundam would be like. Torture tool?

Hmm find a hardcore gundam fan(or engineer) thats also a sailor moon/etc hater. SHow him hacked up clips of this in action, parodied. Guaranteed to get people staring, especially at tech trade shows!

Hey that aint such a bad idea, then again the whole is nothing but a big parody. Oh heres a bit of interesting info did you know that the characters from G Gundam where use to create the characters of Gundam Wing.
