We loaded up our Roxio DVD burner software (Creator 6 Basic) all excited to burn a few AVIs to a DVD to watch on our tellie and we are having some strange issues.
First off, none of the AVIs we wanted to burn are recognizable to the program, although they play fine on the players we watch them on the computers with. The videos are the ones we made using XVid compression, which we just found out is not a supported format by Roxio. BUT we tried other AVIs which we downloaded from a-m-v.org just to test it out and those XVids WORKED.
So I'm trying to find out what the difference is between the videos we made here and home and the ones that actually worked in Creator.
Here are the properties of one that WON'T work:
sayukisavior.avi
image size: 480x352 pixels
Bit Rate: 128 kbps
Audio format: Lame MP3
Frame Rate: 29 frames/sec
Data rate: 195kbps
Video sample size: 16 bit
Video Compression: XVID
voices.avi
image size: 480x352 pixels
Bit Rate: 160 kbps
Audio format: Lame MP3
Frame Rate: 29 frames/sec
Data rate: 171kbps
Video sample size: 24 bit
Video Compression: XVID
d_bloodlove.avi
image size: 480x352 pixels
Bit Rate: 160 kbps
Audio format: Lame MP3
Frame Rate: 29 frames/sec
Data rate: 183kbps
Video sample size: 16 bit
Video Compression: XVID
Angelic Ballad.avi
image size: 480x352 pixels
Bit Rate: 224 kbps
Audio format: Lame MP3
Frame Rate: 24 frames/sec
Data rate: 184kbps
Video sample size: 24 bit
Video Compression: XVID
And here are a sample of the ones that will:
56forthelasttime(Xvid).avi
image size: 640x480 pixels
Bit Rate: 127 kbps
Audio format: Lame MP3
Frame Rate: 29 frames/sec
Data rate: 187kbps
Video sample size: 16 bit
Video Compression: XVID
AbsoluteDestiny-IWishIWasALesbian.avi
image size: 640x480 pixels
Bit Rate: 192kbps
Audio format: Lame MP3
Frame Rate: 23 frames/sec
Data rate: 274kbps
Video sample size: 12 bit
Video Compression: XVID
AMV Stop The Rock -Indifferent Productions [XVID].avi
image size: 480x352 pixels
Bit Rate: 160kbps
Audio format: Lame MP3
Frame Rate: 29 frames/sec
Data rate: 264kbps
Video sample size: 24 bit
Video Compression: XVID
Any thoughts or suggestions on this? We're stumped. Could it be the data rate/bit rate? Anyone else have an issue with this? It's got to be something we're doing at this end tho because just about every AVI we have is recoginized except ours and one or two others.
Thanks in advance!
