Recently i've seen outro's in AMV's and wondered if they were new to the scene.

Do you mean just bumpers or actual additional scenes of footage? Bumpers have been around for as long as shameless self promotion has been in the scene (how else are you supposed to know who made it and what the song/anime is, etc?), but I've only seen a handful of bumpers that were AMVs unto themselves. Taskmasta's clip at the end of Anxiety (which I thought was dissapointing as he cut off one of the choruses to do it), Guyver2019 does it frequently in his intro bumpers, and Hypeodermic has pretty fucking long intro bumpers at the beginning of most of their vids.

Speaking of shameless self-promotion, <a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... 8816">this video</a> has a cute little extra playing over the credits. It's not so much an AMV as an exercise in humorous lip synching though.

Clarification: Combined Time is the combined length of the start AND end bumpers. And for those who haven't had the pleasure of watching any Hypeodermic vids, the file lengths for comparison:

HTTT: 4:03
Appetite for Dynamite: 4:14
Sleep: 2:55

I really liked that part. It was IMO the best lip-sync in the video. Something like that even bursts up the good feel of the video
