Anime for a Crue song

Post by RocknRollJunkie88 » Sun Apr 18, 2004 8:17 pm

Any ideas for an anime I can use to make a Motley Crue "Smoking In The Boys Room" video? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's kind of hard to top the original music video for that one, given its through-the-looking-glass universe, poking fun at how lame public school is, and its "but a dog really did run off with my homework!" joke. (And where can you get someone as funny-looking as Michael Berryman?) There aren't too many animes that make a big deal out of smoking, since the Japanese don't take the whole subject half as seriously as anyone does here in the U.S.

There are plenty of scenes from the "hard-boiled" animes showing people smoking, but I don't know of any that show kids lighting up just because it's forbidden.

Personally, I'd rather see an anime satire of school based on Pink Floyd's "We Don't Need No Education. There are a *lot* of animes which feature hellish schools and corrupt teachers, including even the Sailor Moon series. (Didn't you always kinda suspect your school was actually some evil brainwashing factory and the teachers were trying to turn you into demonic drones as part of some twisted recruitment program?)

The reason I wanted to do this one is because the song has been stuck in my head for about a week. Oh well, thanks for everything.

Yeesh! Now it's stuck in my head, too.

Sorry I couldn't be more help. As I say, though, if you like the song, check out the original music video! It was really funny. I'm going to go dig up my old VHS copy and see it again.
