Suggestions on Filters for this Vid?

Post by subzero3 » Sat Apr 03, 2004 4:03 pm

Hey all, was wondering anyone could give me a hand, I recently put out this vid:

and was wondering if there were any filters in virtual dub I could use to make it look less like ass than it does.... I'm sort of a newbie to virtual dub, but so far I've tried the sharpness filter, and smoothness, however they just make the pixels easier to see, does any experts have any suggestions about what filters to use in V-dub or Avisyth? Its really giving me fits. Thanks!

By far the best way to improve quality is to use a better source footage to begin with. If you start off with crap, you can't just make it look good later. It's possible to make footage look a fair bit nicer, but by far the most important factor in video quality is the source footage.
Virtualdub sucks these days for filtering video. You need to learn to use avisynth. Check out msharpen, deen, mftoon, temporal cleaner, etc.
