Tenchi Muyo! GXP Vol 1 out/Dub Cast News

Well, vol 1 came out.. again, I absolutely must reccomend this underrated show to you all.
If you love the Tenchi OVA universe and all of it's intricacies, politics, superpowers, and strong characters - You have to get and watch this show.

First volume, you have the option to get with a box. The box art is fantastic, and makes it worth the fairly low price tag. The extras are not the best (Textless op, textless ed, character profiles, poorly made desk calendar featuring the future volume release dates, and 5 episodes.)

The show will span 8 discs, all future discs will have 3 episodes on them a piece, but I hear the price tag will be very reasonable for such a small amount of episodes. I got the first vol with box for 25 bucks, and I imagine future 3 ep volumes will be 15-20 bucks if you look in the right places.

Also, I have heard some bad news for dub fans... The 17th episode which features all the original Tenchi OVA cast will have new voice actors for them. Appearently Funimation couldn't get the original voice cast like they were wanting to. I don't know why, but oh well, that's how it is.

From what I've watched of the dub, it's not too bad, but honestly.. why would you watch a FUnimation dub when you have the sub option? As usual, Funimation has done a beyond awesome job subtitling the show. Translation is very exact, honorifics are included in the text, and the text is easy to read, colored white.

Seriously, Tenchi fans, go grab this, it's worth your watching, and definitely worth the money!
