Really need help/Hi8 --->VHS

ok, this is probably very simple, but here i go:

i have a samsung Hi8 recorder and i want to put the footage from that Hi8 tape onto a VHS. im able to see my footage on my TV with the cable that has the AV plugins. i have a simple tv with only one AV imput which is for mono sound and video (white and yellow). my cable runs through my VCR then to my TV. i really need help, this is a spanish project which is due tommorow

plug your Hi8 A/V jacks into the A/V input slots on the back of the VCR, simple no?
