This is the only guide you'll ever need to rip DVDs

Use it in good health

Two different questions.

1) If you can wait a few weeks/months, you should be able to get Premiere 6.5 bundled with editing packages for well under $500. If you rreally must have it RIGHT NOW, look for a Pinnacle DV 200 package w/ full Prem. 6.0 on pricewatch. you can find it for 230-250, I think.

2) Read ErMaC's guide, specifically chapter 5.

Wait, so your actually saying that you payed 500 dollars for Premiere!?
Or if you dont have it, what do you use to make AMVs?

Let me be as clear as possible about this. I bought THIS for about $250, 10 months ago.

That's the cheapest way I could find a legit, full copy of Premiere, since I'm not a student.

Clear enough?

Heh, now I'm about to shell out another $150 for the upgrade to 6.5

I wish I'd gotten started using it earlier than 7 weeks ago, but stuff happens in life.

Premiere 6.5 isn't worth the extra 150 bucks. The only significant feature that I can see is the mpeg2 editing, which according to klinky's tests isn't as quick as the current avisynth method.

I'd stick with what you have and spend that 150 bucks on a HD or some source footage.

Thanks, AD. I've been reading all those other posts, and reevaluating my possible upgrade plans.
