vegas dvd help

Post by Bebop0083 » Thu Feb 26, 2004 9:12 pm

ok i finaly put some of my amvs on dvd but heres the problem. every time i go to make the dvd i go to the setup process as usual it gives the warnings and such as audio well be compressed for example. that doesnt bother me but this one error is pissing me off. it says "the estimated total size is greater then the maximum of 1 GB" what does that mean and how can I fix it? i didnt have this problem the last time i made a dvd which was without my own background menus just that plain blue thing they give yah. any suggestions?any help is appreciated.

Although I use Vegas, I don't own the DVD package. So...can't help except to point you to the Sony support forum: http://mediasoftware.sonypictures.com/s ... efault.asp

You'll find other Vegas forums at CreativeCow.net and DMN Forums (click Select a Forum on the left bar).

Best Advanced Editing Software - Videomaker Magazine Best of 2003
Sony Vegas 4.0 ($699)
The one-upsmanship in video editing software is remarkable. Vegas was first on the scene with many important features, including scalable, realtime software previews. The 4.0 version (which was released more than a year ago) added professional features (such as color correction) that only FCP and Avid users used to have access to. And although the competition has vastly improved audio tools, they are still only almost-as-good-as Vegas, which was originally forged from audio electrons in a sonic foundry.

well i went to Sonic Foundry's site and looked through the data base and past post in the forums couldnt find any thing plus i even asked the question there my self. oh it should read "the estimated total size of all menus is greater then the maximum of 1 GB" i was tired when i wrote this thread last nite. im not sure if that means i have to get rid of some of my menus or what but that would be pretty gay if i cant add in my chapter menus.

i think it just might be the background image i use but i dont see how that could have an effect on it.

I dunno anything about the dvd software, but maybe you are adding your video files to the menu by mistake?
Did you try not loading your background image and see if it works?

while im at it ive run into another problem. for some reason when i click on the video it skips the first minute. the only way i can watch the whole video is if i go into the chapter menus and start from there. at first i thought it was an in and out point problem but its not. im sure this question can easily be answered unlike my first. i tried starting my project all over again to see where i can find my error on that. i still have my original one as well.
