Problem rendering 5 video tracks at the same time

Post by Hoyle00 » Fri Feb 20, 2004 12:35 pm

I'm using premiere 6.0 and there is a part in my timeline where i have 5 video tracks being used at the same time, the problem is whenever I try to render that part of the timeline, it crashes as soon as it goes about 2 frames in. I get one of those XP error messages asking if i want to send it to microsoft or whatever.

If i remove any of the tracks the rendering work fine, so I'm assuming I'm pushing my computer to do too much????

I was already suggested to buy a better data cable....but here are my other computer components

256 ram
my C drive currently has a little over 700 mb of free space, I use my D or E drive which have gigs of free space.

your ram could be an issue here. Premire 6.0 occasionally does that to me when i try to use certain effects. I got a gig of ram though. Sometimes premire is bitchy. I've rendered many more layers before without any problems.

actually u don't need more ram to render 5 tracks, if yer using avisynth for clips, then at the top of each script type SetMemoryMax(10)

heres an example:
SetMemoryMax(10)
MPEG2Source("C:\BlahBlah\SomeMovie.d2v")
