my dvd drive's dissapeared

ok i got jet's album today. soon as i got home in installed musicmatch 8 so i could back it up. ok, mm8 asked me to restart my pc before using it so i did. as soom as my pc restared my dvd drive and my clone cd vidtual drive we're both missing from My Computer. i put a dvd in the drive to see if it would autostart. it didnt. i tried accesing it throuh run and command prompt but it couldnt find the drive. ok so i uninstalled mm8 and restarted my pc. still no drive. i checked the bios that recognised it, but nothing in windows would. so, im stuck now and kinda pissed. anyone got a solution ?

this happend to my cdr drive but luckly when i restarted it came back. corren productions and lightning count x had this problem and had to reinstall windows for it to come back. sorry

Depends how it dissapeared. My DVD drive was dissapearing randomly and i just had to go to device manger and do a "scan for hardware changes" If there is an exclamation point on the drive. then you need to reinstall. A version on Sonic DVDIT lite that came with my capture card used to do that if i installed things in a certain order. If you have to reformat. Then install the app that gave you the issues first then other things.

ah fixed. i tried enabling the drives through the devise manager but stupid windows was unable to enable them. then i just rememberer system restore. worked. now i can watch argentosoman again
