German music?

Post by Shasty » Tue Dec 16, 2003 11:37 am

well, maybe it's a little bit nationalistic if I (a German) post a topic about German music, but I just want to know what people from other countries thinks about German bands, music , etc.
I am esspecially interested in getting to know if you know other German Bands except Rammstein and Kraftwerk (okay, that is maybe just a stereotype  )

My favorite music came out of Germany in the 70s. Can, Faust, Ash Ra Tempel, Guru Guru, Cluster. I could list dozens...

I'm not really up on current music in Germany unfortunatly.

Did you know at the Tokyo Tower there's a wax museum with the last room dedicated to 70s Krautrock? I kid you not. I have some pics if you are interested.

I triple recommend these. Even though it's not metal, I still like E Nomine.

Rubyeye's got great tastes in music.

And E Nomine has some almost metalish sounds... mostly dark techno though. Nonetheless, really cool.
