if you like comedy...you'll love azumanga daioh...but as for chobits, yeah its great too so i'd recommend it.

Chobits is very cool, though as an anime, and as mentioned above they overplay the sexual inuendoes quite a bit. The manga is awesome, and features less in your face fanservice, though it's not really that bad....It's not HARDCORE fanservice imo.

Basically it's about this technology inept guy who finds a "persocom" personal computer in the form of a robot girl, and his many adventures trying to figure her out *she's a special robot ^^* while studying and making new friends etc. It's a scifi romantic comedy type thingy...

Though ya, the best thing to do first would be to read the manga imo 8)
