Alien vs Predator movie!

Well I'll be damned, they are going to make one after all! It's being directed by the guy who did Resident Evil, and set for release next summer. I just saw downloaded the teaser from http://www.fileplanet.com/files/130000/132403.shtml No actual footage, since it's in pre-production right now, but it's cool that the movie's finally getting made.

Although with a production schedule of only 1 year, it kinda makes you wonder if they're going to end up screwing it up.

Well, they don't have advanced character design to worry about so that saves a lot time.

But I really hope they don't screw it up.

The only thing I really hate about it, is the fact it takes place on Earth. I need to read the Alien vs Predator comics to see if there are any good plots in it, that they might use. As far as expecting it to be good? I highly doubt it will be, story wise that is. I find it hard to believe that an Alien would stand a chance against a Predator personally. *shrug*

If it's anything like the comic they usually hunt multiple aliens and I doubt even a Predator could survive if they all pounced on him at once.

I have a four part AvP comic series that has humans colonizing a planet the Predators use for their manhood initiation hunts - you figure it out from there...

There is also the 12 part "Deadliest Of The Species" series (I need to get the rest of that), which could be good.

Most of the Fanfics I've read (planetavp.com) have centered around a Group of Marines on a far off planet on a Xenomorph hunt, where consequently, Predators use as hunting grounds as well. I would assume that the movie itself will center around a few predators taking on a Hive. Personally, I'd like to see the Aliens win, but doubt thats going to happen.

At least Jason won.
