I'm moving from VCD and SVCDs into MiniDVD menuing, looking for a greater challenge and greater results. (Or just prettier Fansubbed digital disks to add to my collection. )

So I look into better disk authoring software and learn that Adobe has 'Encore DVD' for authoring. Rated at $500 dollars.

I watch the QuickTime walkthrew at the site for it.
You can precisely edit video clips using Adobe Premiere, and importing them into Encore. You can make spectacular still images using Adobe Photoshop and importing them into Encore. You can generate wonderfull animated menus, using Adobe Aftereffects and importing them into Encore.

$500 for a peice of software that depends on three other high end, high cost peices of software to accomplish a professional result. I find Adobe's sense of humor quite interesting, if only I wasn't the victim of it.

Well, time to go to the 'special online store' and 'buy' me some new software. ^.^
