Danger: Do videogames make people violent?
Yes.
What was once a debatable question, is now fact. New research has concluded that videogame violence and behavior related violence are in fact closely related.

  I call BS.
Children can get just as violent (read: Throw tantrums) over board games as they do video games.

This is old. Like, at least by half a year, probably more.

It's a satire. Not meant to be taken seriously.
Don't you hate it when people describe something as "cute" when they really mean "God, I want to fuck that"?

I only glanced at this article, and considered it total crap. Shouldn't these mothers take responsibility in their own hands and raise their kids themselves? Shouldn't they put restrictions on their kids game playing time, or better yet, describe to their kids the differences between right and wrong, fantasy and reality themselves? Have these parents ever done their jobs and talked to their kids ONCE? Have they considered that the problem is deeper than the games and that other factors are involved? Peer-pressure and neglect come to mind.

This lame topic has been brought up too many times over countless decades and in other forms. Bevis and Butthead "were to blame", Jackass "was to blame", (title of a popular movie) "is to blame". Notice Shakespear is never to blame. Ever read Hamlet or Romeo and Juliet? The only reason forms of media like that are never brought up is because they aren't popular right this minute. The bottom line is, parents should turn the T.V. off for an hour or so, quit blaming everyone else when they are just as at fault, and just establish time outs and teach their kids some freaking social skills for once.

WHHHOOOO! Man did I ever need to get that off my chest.
Probably too busy to be here right now.

kthnx

No need for the backup plan, but it's damn funny.
"Here is my backup plan: If it does turn out to be real and I just didn't believe it, well, that's because I've reached this, like, hyperspace, higher plane of cynicism where all reality and the people in it are a ridiculous pageant for my amusement. "
