Video Game AMVs

Post by S{ullEosis » Mon Oct 13, 2003 10:25 am

I have noticed the Final Fantasy AMVs and what not, but what i wonder is how are the videos gotten from the disc. Ive tried several of the "players" that supposedly get it off of the disc, but i cant get any of them to work correctly. If theres anyone out there that knows a program that works well please let me know.

I've ripped, with no problems, FMV scenes from <I>Final Fantasy VII</I>, <I>DragonBall Z: Ultimate Battle 22</I>, <I>DragonBall Z: Legends</I>, and <I>DragonBall: Final Bout</I>. I used PSMPlay (I believe that's what it's called) in all instances.

PSMPlay should take care of the vast majority of PS1 games. Quu has a pretty decent guide to doing so over in the "Guides" section of this site (I followed it, for the most part, in making "<A HREF="http://animemusicvideos.org/members/mem ... 57">Nobody Blink!</A>" (adding a few steps here and there to suit myself and my style).

If you're going for anything other than PS1 games, I'd suggest doing some intense searches through the video software help section of these forums... those kind of specific questions always come up there.

Good luck!

No i think AMV works for just about any source thats put to something. Because to me the A means Apropriation which is what all AMVs and fan circles do.

Hey, Chris

If you can do it for non-Square MVs, then I can do it for my Square MV!

There's not even enough footage on there to make a commercial. Good Luck.
