Anime Babe Eliminator - Round 1

Hi!

A long time ago, I did this thing where people voted for their favorite anime women from a list of anime women... and characters were eliminated until there was one final winner. After seeing a recent posting here, I thought

"What the heck? Why not do it again?"

I have taken many of the names that I saw listed in the other post (so don't blame me for some of the names) and then I took some names from older anime series... and threw in one or two wildcards.

I will post a bunch of pairs, and everyone who is interested in this nonsense may vote for their favorite in each pair. Please put a vote on ALL pairs.

I welcome anyone to do an Anime Hunk Eliminator... but I won't be doing one.

Anyway... I will count the votes once a week and continue this as long as people show interest.

In order to participate in your survey under the rules you stated, I would have to either vote on characters I don't know (which will, obviously, skew the results) or else be familiar with the characters from all of the following:

Cowboy Bebop Movie, Cowboy Bebop, Crusher Joe, Darkstalkers, Escaflowne,
Evangelion, Excel Saga, FLCL, Final Fantasy VII, Fushigi Yugi, Inu Yasha,
Kimagure Orange Road, King of Fighters, Love Hina, Macross 7, Macross,
Maison Ikkoku, Oh! My Goddess, Onegai Teacher, Outlaw Star, Pokemon,
RahXephon, Ranma 1/2, Record of Lodoss War, Ruroni Kenshin, Sailor Moon,
Sakura Diaries, Science Ninja Team: Gatchaman, Slayers, Street Fighter,
Tenchi Muyo, Trigun, Ursei Yatsura, Yamato, Yuyu Hakusho, and .hack//SIGN.

That's a lot of knowledge to demand, and I think it's likely you will get a lot of votes from people who don't really know who they're voting on. So I don't think I'll be inclined to believe your final result anyway - it'll be based on bad votes. Wouldn't it be better to just post a list of characters and ask people for their favourites? I realise that'll be harder to tabulate, but it's more likely to give a meaningful result. If you wanted to be really fancy about it, you could have a runoff vote: ask people to vote for one character from the list only, eliminate the one that gets least votes, and repeat, until one choice gets more than 50%.

Why doesn't anyone do an anime guy eliminator? Or, better yet, why am I too lazy to do so?...

Thanks for the input, but this is really for fun.

I ask that people vote on all pairs... but experience has shown that people seldom vote on all the pairs in these sorts of things.

This isn't supposed to give any "Factual" data... it's just for a goof!

Hey! Go do an anime guy/hunk eliminator! You could have less guys if it would make your life a little easier!

Part of my problem is that I feel like I just haven't seen enough anime to do a guy-eliminator justice. Maybe if I only do fighting guys... *shrug* We'll see...
