Hey, i heard soo much about this series, is it really that good. My friend said that i should watch it and he said ill like it. can someone tell me whats its all bout and whether i should watch it o not.

I won't tell you what it's about, but I can definitely recommend it since I just recently finished re-watching the entire series. The dub isn't that great, but the DVD is bilingual, so no biggie.

Essentially, if you like humor, gunifghts, good charactarization, and plot twists, pick this one up and check it out.

The setting is similar to the Old West. People are hunting Vash The Stamede who has a 60 Billion double dollars bounty on his head.

Watch and enjoy. It is IMHO one of the better animes of the last 5 years. I have watched it about 5x now and it and Cowboy Bebop I never get tired of.

its just unoriginality on their part --; They just took the US currency and added double to it...instead of making up a whole nother word for their own currency... Maybe Double dollars are only worth as much as pecos...that'd suck --;

i think it was good. well i didnt really think it was outsanding but it had pretty good characters though they werent as deep as the ones in cowboy bebop. and the story was pretty good but i though some of the vilins were sorta lame. id give it a 9/10

the anime has its downsides...predictable, visual quality could use improvement, soundtracks also(except for Legato's theme and Vash's genocide song)

but really, the themes and messages, as well as the plot are really cool and worth putting up with the mediocre music and quality. for early watchers, they goof around for a good first 5-9 episodez, i laughed my ass of when i first saw it! however, it does get serious and knows what it is doing. i watched the anime too many times to count but it belongs up there with classics like Evangelion, Inu-Yasha and what not....in my book it does.
