Need input on some colleges

Post by SephirothJenova » Mon Sep 22, 2003 10:59 pm

I'm looking at colleges to enter next year, so I was wondering if any of you guys had any information on these colleges. I'm looking for the type of information like how well the teachers are, what's around the campus, what's there to do around there, etc. The information that it doesn't tell you in the little booklet they send to you.

Here's the colleges:
University Of Missouri - Columbia
University Of Missouri - Rolla
Purdue
Rutgers University
University Of Washington
MIT

Mizzou is my for sure entry, but I'd like to either go to Purdue, University Of Washington (I heard that they're in eyesight of Intel, AMD, etc.), or Rutgers.

Mizzou! Go to Mizzou. That's where I should have applied, but I went for U of Iowa because the Writer's Workshop here is the best in the country.

Purdue and MIT wouldn't be bad choices either. But it depends on what you're going for.

What's your major anyway? Once we know that, we could help you. :P

Look at this website for some in depth information on colleges.

well based on his collage list I guessing he may be going to be an engineering major Since MIT and Purdue are among the best enigineering schools out there.
I know MIT does not have a ASCT (or some thing like that) program that I know effect civil engineers making them thake 2 times as long in practicing civil engnieering befroe they can become fully certificed. I try to look into on other eningeering program if I need 2.

As for enigneering schools I know Texas Tech (Which I am currently attending) is also one of the best engneering schools in the nation. Plus it was rates #2 by playboy in hottest girls on campus.

As what angle said it would be very helpful to know what you major is.

I am guessing you are either going to electrial Engineering or Duel major CS/EE (comptuer science/Electrail Engineering)

Guys, he doesn't want that information. He wants to know what the teachers are like, what the campus is like, et cetera.

As for teachers, they're all varied at every school. But I know the campus at Mizzou is really nice and there's a lot around there to do.

Well, my original major was going to be a CE/CS double major, but I'm just considering a broader view since CS and CE and both filled with immigrants. I'm considering an EE major, a Physics or a Math major. Something in engineering would probably get me a steady job the best/fastest though.

Go for civil engineering, man! They always need more people to build/maintain roads, bridges, buildings, water pipes, and so on. That's what I'm going for.

Tell us the major and your geographical preference. I can certainly help if it is within the Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering area since I am an alumni of those particular areas and went to the #2 or 3 in the nation as well as considered other fine universities.
