just figured out how there could be a cowboy bepop 2:

now keep in mind that i'm not saying that it would be good, i'm just saying that there is a slight chance that either vicious, spike or both could have suvived, also keep in mind that so of my theory is speculation.

ok here is the facts,
In the movie vincent said that he was in the jupiter wars and that the whole war was one big nanotechnology testing ground,

Also as most of us know both spike and vicious were in that war.
now vincent got injected with a vaccine that made him immune to other forms of nano-viruses, and hinted about other forms of nanobots that could withstand greater stress than a normal cell and therefore could heal the body faster than average.

This leads to the fact that a normally fatal wound could be healed with these nanobots,

this could explain how spike made recoverys from the events in the "ballad of the fallen angels" episode.

this leads me to my conclusion,
If spike(and vicious) came into contact with these nanobots it would leave open the possibility that spike could indeed survive the last episode,

most of the wounds spike recieved from Vicious were not very deep, aside from the one to his leg, although he did recieve numerous blows,
if the nanobots did their jobs the blood would clot faster and stop the bleeding soon after a wound occured.

and such to all those people who say"i don't care what you say the red dragon henchmen would have finished him off anyway"
i have some thing to explain that too.
actually there are two ways that spike could have survived from this point

1. naturally Spike did a shitload of damage, if the henchmen thought that he was dead then most of them would leave to acess the damage and help the wounded leaving spike pretty much in unguarded,giving him a chance (ifhe regained councieness) to slink off somewhere out of sight and radio for Jet or Faye to come and pick him up.

2.Faye and/or Jet would have probably quickly figured out where spike went, and as such could have raced to the scene ,
picture this spike just collapsed on the steps and all the red dragon guys are looking on in astonishment then, suddenly faye pops up from behind the building in her fighter and blows them all away with her mini-guns,
lands the ship picks up spike and wisks him way to a hospital or the Bebop.

Honestly though my view on the whole subject is, Cowboy Bebop was a great anime, leave it alone, it was fine the way it is (without a sequel).

I just like to throw these kind of ideas out in the open to get them out of my system.

i commend you for yr insight and ideas...do a fanfic on that.

but i think masterpieces should be left alone. the most significant theme of the anime is whats real and whats a dream? you never really know.

the open ending is partly what makes the whole anime so cool...you can spend yr life's effort on pursuit of yr wants just to wake up right before you achieve it.

*different tone, a more open minded one at that*

okay, aside from that, how wouuld you end that hypothetical cowboy bebop 2?

One big problem here: Spike wasn't in the war on Titan. Gren and Vicious were, as was Vincent, but not Spike. Also, you saw Spike's star go out. That's Shinichiro Watanabe saying: "He's dead. Period." If you want a Bebop sequel, you'd better hope that there is a prequel where Spike's days in the Red Dragons are finally brought fully to light. That would be cool.

I don't know, Jim. That's pretty shaky ground. Also, Spike chose to leave for good in Episode 26. Jet can't go anywhere, and has nothing left to tie him up in Spike's affairs. Faye, granted has some weird relationship going on, but knows she has to stay out of Spike's life.

Finally, without Ein and Edward, Cowboy Bebop 2 wouldn't be half the show the original was.

i can explain this too , in the bebop movie it's said that these nanobots can be transferred from one person to another on contact so, HA!

as for the star going out...... What star???(hehehe)

Reread my senario #1 i'd bet money if spike called, jet and faye would come running to his aide.

The syndicate wouldnt kill him anyway, thats why they dont shoot the hell out of him on his way all the way to the lobby OR on the stairs in the lobby. Syndicates dont work that way, he killed ...or didnt either way they THINK he killed their newer leader, thusly he is now crowned as the boss. If anything the syndicate guys would help him as much as possible. o.O
