A pizza delivery man told police he had been forced to rob a bank and asked authorities to help him minutes before a bomb strapped to his chest exploded and killed him.
Let's give those cops an award. Now I was thinking, safety could be a concern for the officers! However! They arrested him, put handcuffs on him, put him in a cruiser. If the bomb was going to go off, it would have already. So why didn't someone simply get it off of him.
Ugh.

Yeah, everyone likes to bitch about the police

The bomb squad was on the way there to disarm and remove the bomb. And did you stop to think that maybe the reason no one "simply got it off of him" is if an untrained man tries to remove it, he could easilly set off any defensive measures set up to prevent the removal of the bomb, and we wind up with two people dead instead of one?
He wasn't in the cruiser, and what are the officers supposed to do with a guy who just robbed a bank and has a bomb? How were they to know if he really was an innocent victim, or actually trying to rob the place and using the bomb as a ruse? How did they know he wasn't the maker of the bomb, and since he was caught take out as many people with him as possible?
You can sit all high and mighty, and be judgemental now, because you know infinintly more through that article than those officers ever knew at the crime scene. So
STFU!
