Question on a song used in the AMV Midnight.

Theres actually two AMV's done to the song 'Mitternacht' by E Nomine, but that is not what interests me. I remember someone mentioning that 'Mitternacht' was a ripoff/remake/cover of another song. I've tried to find that post again, but I failed to do so.

So my question is whether someone here could please give me the name of the song in question, and the artist(s) who perform it.
