Numerous ideas I've been kicking around...

I've done a couple good accidental videos in the past when experimenting with software (ie. The second Ranma opening lines up pretty well to AC/DC's "Big Balls", or the time I experimented by putting Alice Cooper's "Feed My Frankenstein" to the FLCL "Speed King" (Deep Purple) video...), but want to actually sit down and do some real editing once I get back to school in a couple weeks. Here are some ideas I've been throwing around, some for over a year, some for just a couple days...

I realize the list is rather long, don't feel obligated to comment on all of them. Any advice on themes or technical aspects is certainly appreciated as you care to contribute it though.

Evangelion, Blue Oyster Cult - Don't Fear the Reaper
Have a Kaji/Misato theme in mind, got it all planned out for the most part, minus picking which blasts from the battle scenes to use (advice on this is also appreciated)

Evangelion, Alice Cooper - Cold Ethyl
Ok, yes, another Kaji/Misato one. I'm thinking of having it start with Misato's death during the intro and then working it from there...

Gundam 0080, Paul Simon - You Can Call Me Al
Hmmm....Substitute "Bernie" for "Betty" in the chorus...

Gundam 0079 (or at least that general era), AC/DC - Highway to Hell
Zabi theme. Enough said.

Char and Amuro, Metallica - Orion
Hesitant to try to develop it, as instrumentals are harder to plan out in some ways, but I see some potential for it...

Samurai X?, AC/DC - Hell's Bells
Seems to fit in a way, but not the best of ideas. More because I'm looking for an excuse to use the song, really

Outright parody, no other way to describe it. Focusing on Integra Hellsing, of course. Not enough Alexander footage anyway

Various, Black Sabbath - Snowblind
Parody of the anime community and the many comparisons to drugs that people make in relation to anime...Could also be done with Eric Clapton's "Cocaine"...

GTO, Blues Traveler - Psycho Joe
This one keeps coming to mind, sometimes GTO seems perfect for it, then I have second thoughts about a part, and then all of a sudden I think of a second way I can twist it to make it work relatively easily...Hmmm...This one just won't leave me alone...

Rayearth, Deep Purple - Pictures of Home
Another one that just seems to stick somehow...Although the fabric of the anime seems to contrast with that of the music, the themes seem compatible...

Tribute to the ladies of anime...

Love Hina, Guns 'N Roses - Sweet Child O' Mine
Not a Keitarou/Naru vid. Thinking more along the lines of exploring one of Naru's fears with it and doing a Keitarou/Mutsumi vid, with scenes of an angry Naru as I can fit them in along the way without detracting from it too much...

FLCL, Jimi Hendrix - Purple Haze
Natural fit.

Hellsing, Metallica - Am I Evil?
Alucard/Anderson video.


Ok, as people have probably guessed by now, I'm a sucker for the old rock songs, many of which tend to be overlooked when creating AMVs. Some of these ideas have potential, some don't, some are plain clearly out of my skill level, and I know I've come up with more than I could ever possibly do, so if people can help me cull the list down to the ones that they think could work best, I'm all ears right now...Too much thinking up to now, too little action, trying to change that...
