Merging clips to use a rubber band

Post by Sereenie » Sun Jul 13, 2003 5:13 pm

I'm Using Premiere 6.5 and searched through the help file, but couldn't find anything.

There is this part in my clip where I want the ending scene to fade into a new scene. Easy enough, I take the ending part and put it int the video 2 timeline so I can use the transparency rubber band.

But there comes my problem: that particular part has been done by joining several 1-image clips, so the yellow (or pink, I don't remember) bar under the picture, where the rubber band is, is cut between each image, which means there is a rubber band between each image. Not very convenient when the scene is 11 1-image clips long!

So, my question is: how do I merge these 11 1-image clips to make one 11-image clip so I can use a rubber band on it? Is there a tool that does the opposite of the razor tool, namely sticking clips together instead of dividing them? I tried to use the joining tool (the one that looks like chain links), but I think I'm either using it wrong or it's not used for that purpose, because it didn't looke like it was doing anything.

Thanks for your help!

Render the clips you want to use into a HuffYUV file (take the 11 clips and render them into one HuffYUV) and then use that for the transition.

I thought it may come to that! I just figured maybe there was some other (faster) way of doing it.

On the other hand, if I hadn't asked, I would have never known. Or something like that. ^_^;

Thanks !
