Wolf's Rain was recently announced at AnimeExpo as having being licensed by Bandai Entertainment. Look for the first DVD near the end of the year.

My friend's somehow got her hands on some episodes of it, but I never got to see it. It's supposed to be about certain special wolves or something like that, or so I gathered from the one fanfic I saw about it.

Here's a brief spoiler free synopsis:

In the future of an alternate earth, war has destroyed man's civilization. Feudal nobles now rule over the scattered human populations. Legend has it that before the destruction of the wars came, the Wolves fled to paradise, and became extinct on Earth. Wolves are things of legend, monsters to be feared, but they are gone now, nothing more than fairy tales. But, perhaps this is not the case. Perhaps the Wolves did not all leave the earth behind, but rather learned to hide among the humans who both feared and hated them. And what of Paradise? Does such a place truly exist? And if it did, how could it be found?
