Crest of the Stars confusion

I just finished watching Crest of the Stars and I now of course want to watch the second season.

Only problem is that I'm not sure if I'm trying to get the right thing.
I am under the impression that Crest of the Stars is known as Sekai no Senki. But then now I'm hearing that Sekai no Senki only refers to the second season and Sekai no Senki II means the third season.

Can someone help clear this up a bit? Thanks.

Crest of the Stars is Seikai no Monshu. Senki is the second part, and Senki II is the third part.

The first season is 26 eps of the abh princess trying to get the human to the military academy, which is delayed by a space battle, a nobleman holding them hostage, then an emergency landing and hiding-out on a planet that has just been captured by the enemy.

The second season is 26 eps of the princess captaining a little fighter ship in the midst of a huge battle campaign directed by a whole bunch of abh nobility. (the human is her supply officer)

The third season is 13 eps of the princess and human having been put in charge of a planet of convicts who are about to start a civil war.

The second season, Banner of the Stars, is only 13 episodes.
The third season, Banner of the Stars II, is only 10 episodes.

When should I watch the movie "Birth"? Like, after what season should I watch it?

Birth features Lafiels parents. I would say you can watch it as long as you know who lafiel is.
