Best Editing Software???

Post by Saiyan Legend » Tue May 27, 2003 9:56 pm

Hi, I really want to get into this whole AMV making thing. But I have one question. What is the best all around editing software? I've seen expensive ones that looked good but read that they sucked. And I've seen cheap ones that work good but severely limit what you can do. So, can anyone answer my question? Just share your experiences with the different editing softwares. Help a newb out :)

hmmm

believe it, or not, . . the Best Editing Software is usually the First Editer you try ^^

. back in 1994, Asymetrix was the leader in simple 2 line frame and blending/fading editers.
. . . they are no longer in the Business of Video Production ~_~

hmmm . . I'd look at what ErMaC advises, because there are `just too many editors out-there that "do not" do what they cay they "can do!"

traxx

just my opinion ^^

Hmm, so Adobe Premiere 5.1 Trial edition is my best according to your logic.

Woohoo, feel the power of not many options combined with no export/save options...Wow...... :? :?

Somehow, I think not.

What about the people who used WMM first? Woohoo, feel the power of a crappy interface combined with shit quality for final export.....

Ummm, no?

hmmm . never used WMM . . T_T asf's T_T

the full version of Primere 5.1 that I have is licensed and payed for!
- I can not say that I've ever really gotten used to it, but it does do a better job than others I've bought.

if all anyone is looking for would be free-stuff than . . yup! . . I'll agree 110% that THAT statement makes no sence.

however . . .

of all the Software Editors I've purchased, Primiere 5.1 works the best on small things - like AMV's

Yeh, same. There really isn't that big a difference between 6.0 and 6.5 anyway, just a kindof ok title feature, and the Adobe MPEG-2 encoder, which is shite.

Avid Xpress 3.5 or Final Cut Pro. The former is as close as you can get to true pro with Windows, and the latter is used professionally.
