*SPOILER...*
I loved the whole series except for one little thing.
I wished they had given Mamimi a happier ending. It wasnt bad but I wanted her to have a happy ending. She seemed so sad and lonely through the whole series I was hoping something good would work out for her.
I also feel at the end with Haruko and Mamimi gone Ninamori moved in to stake a claim on Naota. She seemed very interested in him during the whole series to the point of rigging the voting for the school play so she and he could play the lead parts together. And that night at Nambada house where she hit on Naota is further evidence of her interest.
Is this an ongoing manga or is it limited to the anime? I would very much like to see more and have the storyline advance even without Haruka. I find all main characters very interesting.
Very crazy, very fun, and lots of laughs in parts. I very much enjoyed it.
I just watched the last episode of FLCL *SPOILERS*

I didn't think the ending for Mamimi was sad... but well, a matter of opinion.
On continuing - the only way I'd accept a new FLCL series is if they took a new set of ideas. I think just re-using the characters would be milking an artistic gem. I'm highly against that. But say, if there was a series on the subject of whatever happens to Mamimi, with some appearances by (but no key roles for) the other old chars, I'd be fine with it.
To me, FLCL is pretty darn sacred. It's the most genius thing I've ever seen on television.

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

agreed ... it was one of the best shows, if not the best ive watched in a long while .. although some part of me would have liked to see it continue .. the other knows that if it did continue .. it would go the way of DBZ .. tottal sucktitude due to flcl overload.
...the problem I see a lot is that many good amv makers think they suck, and many bad amv makers think they're good.
I've seen it happen, man! I've SEEN IT!..--Rob Kenchu

Dont get me wrong. I liked Dragon Ball Z but now I look at it and think how many times can they keep rehashing the destroy ultimate villian and save the earth thing.
I would be happy with one or two more OVA's that extend the story regarding Ninamori, Mamimi, Naota, and his friends.
After all doesnt he still have the portal in his head and isnt the Medical Mechanica factory still there? Im not sure if Atomsk destroyed it or not when he dropped it.
