Regarding .hack//sign
I just got the .hack mutation game for playstation 2 and it came with an anime DVD and I was wondering if the DVD that came with the .hack games have anything to do with .hack//sign. I like .hack//sign by the way if that helps, haven't watched the DVD that came with the game yet.

Each volume of the .hack game comes with an Anime DVD. Each DVD is a single episode. Each episode directly relates to the volume it belongs to. All in all it's a continuous story through out the 4 volume game.
"An accident occuring in "The World", will be solved in the net framework space, with the OVA "Liminality". Mai and Kasumi collapse in the real world, however, only Mai recovers, leaving Tomonari in a coma. The incident will be investigated through the real world point of view. You will continue to come closer to the truth of the accident within the game while investigating from the real world in the OVA."
