Post by Alpha_Hazard » Fri Apr 25, 2003 11:23 pm

Whenever I try to do a local download that is Windows Media Format it opens automatically and tells me it's corrupt, how do I avoid this?

Hey,

Generally, if right-click the link and use "Save Target As...", it will save and not play automatically for you.

I hope this helps. Thanks again and have fun!! ^_^

Not with this, when I save target as for local files it saves to url for the download site.

Trogdor was a man...Imean, he Was a Dragon Man, I mean he was just a dragon...But he was still TROGDOR!!!! by homestarrunner.com (Actually it's strong bad, but hey...) yeah, it's WMV and whenever I download it, it opens Windows media player and says the file is not compatible because it's wants to do streaming or something. It did it with the local download of "Whenever, Wherever" by SHakira, with Tenchi Muyo too.

Hey,

"Whenever, Whenever" is a direct link and not a local download so the right-click->save as... should work. Plus, it's an mpeg file and not WMV.

The HomeStarRunner file isn't on this server so I can't really help you there. Sorry...

No, trogdor is a local download on the new download list, and I just looked at whenever, wherever, the local download say it's higher quality....
