Arvo Pärt - Fratres
I watched The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse earlier this month and was blown away by how beautiful and poignant a 35 minute short film can be. About halfway thru I realized this piano/cello duet composition by the Estonian minimalist Arvo Pärt would fit perfectly! The title translates to 'brothers' in Latin, which made it even more fitting.
At 11:47 this is my longest AMV yet. It only took me about a week to finish because I decided early on to only make minimal edits, in chronological order. Basically, I just retold a condensed version of the film with each major plot change coinciding with the different chapters of the song.
