This is bittersweet. First Otakon I'll miss in 18 years and it's one I got into.

Typing this from my hotel room at Otakon. Started working on a Youtube playlist for the contest (not sure when I'll post it, although I can tell you that my video will not be officially available until tomorrow night after the final showing of the contest, as I want to give con-goers first crack at the video).

One big note that needs to be mentioned: this year, there's only four categories, as Trailer and Upbeat are MIA.

Yeah, yours probably would have made it if there was still a category for it. There's a trailer in the action category, but that's the only trailer finalist I can spot.

Did...upbeat really need to be omitted? I count at least 5 of them and that would have certainly made a good sized category.

I'm also really curious about the judging process because even without moving any of the upbeat or trailer videos into other categories, Romance/Sentimental still has TEN finalists.
